Labor
Day became U.S. Federal Holiday in 1894.
It’s a time set aides to celebrate workers. In much of Europe that day is May Day, but
here in the U.S. it’s the first Monday of September. When I think about the workers of this
country, it’s usually the construction worker I envision, the men (and women)
who helped build this great nation. So,
whether you’re a mechanic working on cars, an office worker filling out and
filing that necessary paperwork, a firefighter, cop or construction worker,
today is your day! So slip out of those
overalls or those suits and put some burgers and hot dogs on the grill or relax
by the pool. Have a great Labor Day!
