Ian and I had our Underwear
Party last night and it went off pretty well. Everyone was given a plastic bag to deposit their
clothes and personal items when they arrived and shown to either one of the bedrooms
or bathrooms to undress; though a few didn’t mind stripping down to their underwear
in the entrance hall. T.J. was the only person
under the age of 23 at the party and I’m happy to report no one did any more than
a little flirting with my little brother although Ricky, the former baby of our
group (he’s the 23-year old) did try. Thank
goodness T.J. had the presence of mind to ignore him. Ricky can be a trifle much to handle when he’s
had too much to drink and everyone in our circle of friends knows it, so everyone
watches out for him.
Diane, who stayed here after Hurricane Sandy, came with her new
girlfriend, Stacy. Tom and Benny, who also
stayed here after Sandy, arrived early and stayed late (they left after breakfast
this morning).
Except for the weather and the temperature outside last night,
there really wasn’t much difference between the Underwear Party and most of the
pool parties Ian and I have thrown or gone too – good friends, good food, great
music, a lot to drink and inevitably, somebody gets naked. Last night it was Tom and Benny – as soon as the
ball in Times Square dropped, so did their matching bikini briefs! We all laughed, maybe it was the booze, maybe it
was the timing, but whatever it was, it kicked the party into overdrive. Within a few minutes everyone was naked and no
one acted weird about it. There were boobs
bouncing and dicks flopping everywhere. Ron and his boyfriend Sam disappeared into the downstairs bathroom for about twenty minutes shortly after everyone got naked which I thought was a little tacky, but at least they didn't blow each other in the kitchen like I've seen happen at other parties I've gone to!
T.J. went up to his room about 2 a.m. and about half an hour
later a few guests started leaving with the bulk of our guests gone by 4 a.m. Only Tom and Benny stayed behind and that’s because
they had passed out on the couch. Once everyone
was gone, Ian and I got them some blankets and made them as comfortable as we could
before we headed up to our room to catch a few hours shut-eye.
So, there you have it – a good time was had by all! Maybe we’ll do it again next New Year’s Eve!
